Heathered refers to a fabric constructed by interweaving pre-dyed yarns of mixed colors—and sometimes different fibers—into a single yarn, which creates a muted and stippled shade, that is often gray. Ordinarily used for tee-shirts and other casual clothing, heathered fabric can also be found in bed linens, upholstery fabric, and draperies.
