Laminated refers to a fabrication process used for creating a composite surface in which two or more layers of a material have been bonded together. Typical heat, pressure, welding, adhesives, or a combination is used to bond the layers of the laminate together.
Generally, a laminated material gains strength, stability, resiliency or decorative characteristics. Some of the major techniques for lamination are hot-roll lamination, extrusion lamination, flame lamination, and adhesive lamination.
