Removing Air Pollution with Airlabs

December 9, 2019 by Material ConneXion

Airlabs is fighting pollution with a carbon filter that can remove air pollution, odors, and toxic gases in cities and cars

92% of the world lives in cities that exceed safe pollution limits. Airlab’s proprietary engineered nano carbon filter (ENC) effectively removes over 95% of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and other gaseous pollutants by trapping them and converting them into harmless solids. The filter has also been treated to inhibit bacterial growth meaning that the filter does not release any toxic air pollution back into the airstream.

Since launching their first product, the Airbubbl, Airlabs has partnered with car manufacturers to directly build the technology into vehicles to combat the high levels of NO2. Current applications include home, in-car, and portable air purifiers.
